Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Go2Talent, part of Go2Group, collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit talent.go2group.africa, apply for a role, register your CV, or brief us on a search. We follow the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
Who we are
The responsible party is, registration number, of.
Our Information Officer is, who you can reach at.
Information we collect
From candidates: your name, contact details, CV, work history, qualifications, current and expected pay, notice period, and anything else you choose to tell us. If you agree, we also collect references and the results of checks an employer asks for.
From employers and clients: the names and work contact details of the people we deal with, and the details of the roles you ask us to fill.
From website visitors: this website uses no cookies, analytics or tracking. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes basic technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
We don't ask for special personal information (such as health, religion or biometric data) unless the law allows it and it is needed for a specific role, and then only with your explicit consent. Where an employer's employment equity plan applies, race and gender information is only collected with your consent and used for that purpose.
How we use it
- To find you suitable roles and to discuss them with you.
- To present you to an employer, only with your consent for that specific role. We never send your CV anywhere without asking first.
- To run the searches our clients ask for, including market research about who works where. When we contact someone who hasn't applied, we explain who we are, where we found their details and how to opt out.
- To keep in touch about future roles, if you have agreed to that. You can opt out at any time.
- To meet our legal obligations, including employment, tax and record-keeping laws.
Who we share it with
- Employers, only as described above, with your consent.
- Zoho, which hosts our applicant tracking system (Zoho Recruit) and forms on our behalf under a written agreement. Zoho may store information outside South Africa, in countries or under agreements that provide adequate protection as POPIA requires.
- Referees and verification providers, only if you agree.
- Other Go2Group businesses, only if you ask for a service from them.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
We never sell personal information.
International clients and candidates
We work with employers and candidates outside South Africa, including elsewhere in Africa, the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and the Gulf. If you are in one of those places, local data protection law (such as Kenya's Data Protection Act, Nigeria's Data Protection Act, the UK GDPR or the EU GDPR) may also apply to how we handle your information, and you have the rights that law gives you. When we share your details with an employer in another country, we do so only with your consent for that specific role, and we take reasonable steps to make sure the information is protected as POPIA section 72 requires.
How long we keep it
We keep candidate information for after our last contact with you, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or the law requires us to keep it longer. Client information is kept for as long as we work together and as the law requires afterwards.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- confirm what information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct or update it;
- delete it, or stop using it for a particular purpose;
- stop sending you information about new roles.
Contact our Information Officer at. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Regulator: inforegulator.org.za.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including access controls, two-step verification on our accounts, and encrypted connections. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.
